Leiden has a fascinating history, renowned not only for its contributions to science but also to the arts. The city was home to Rembrandt, one of the world’s most famous painters. It’s also been a major scientific hub for over four centuries, earning the nickname ‘City of Discoveries.’
You might think Amsterdam has a monopoly on picturesque canals, but Leiden gives it a run for its money. In fact, Leiden ranks second only to Amsterdam in the number of bridges and canals. The city center boasts stunning 16th and 17th-century buildings, making it the second-largest 17th-century town center in the Netherlands, just after Amsterdam.
Drawing on my experience, I’ll teach you how to capture the beauty of these historic places through your camera. I’ve been helping photography enthusiasts for over two decades, both at Leiden University and through private lessons.
